The food pantry was created in memory of Michael Zippel Jr., a CODI consumer,
who loved the local Food Bank of South Jersey where he volunteered when he wasn't working at CODI.
In memory of Michael, his parents, Michael Sr. and Theresa founded the food pantry.
Their goal was to meet food challenges often faced by individuals with
disabilities and disadvantages with limited incomes.
